Hope

I was catching up with my blog reading this evening and I came across this post on Whine & Cheese about Hope. The main reason I read his blog is to stay in touch with American pop culture while I live so far away. He gives great recaps of some of my favorite TV back home such as American Idol, 24, etc. I thank him very much for this, but I thought what he had to say about Hope is so true. Here is an exert from his post...

"Is hope a drug? Yeh, sort of ... or maybe more like a glass of wine... most effective when used in moderation (or maybe, literally, this is the bottle of wine we had last night speaking!)... hope is something we shouldn't overdose on (i.e. organized religion, sometimes - and I'll just leave it at that!)... but I think it is a necessary part of a happy life."

Thanks so much for the shout-out and glad you enjoyed my post... it was almost too thought-provoking even for me! ;-)

I'm a bit behind on your blog, but wanted to let you know I used the pictures from Huang Long Xi, in school today. My 6th graders loved seeing real pics from so far away.
Thanks for helping bridge the gap of long ago civilizations :)

Miss you all
Nan

PS: I have ginger haired girl in my class, as she was SOOO excited to see Gemma!! There aren't too many girls with red hair in the barrio ;)
